Sarah Davis and Courtney Favini co-lead Makehouse Interiors, bringing storied design to create soulful spaces. They combine thoughtful renovations, styling, and carefully curated interiors to create boutique homes that reflect their clients’ vision while delighting every guest. With a focus on balancing timeless style with lived-in comfort.


  • Co-Founder, a unique blend of design expertise, event production experience, and a lifelong understanding of property management to every project. Growing up in a family of DIY-ers and rental property owners, she developed an early appreciation for creating spaces that feel both functional and inviting. Since 2019, Sarah has focused on short-term rentals, managing multiple gut renovations and designing curated interiors that balance comfort, character, and high-end style.

    Before founding Makehouse Interiors, Sarah produced large-scale, multi-day events and immersive festival experiences, overseeing design, logistics, and culinary programming for thousands of guests. She combines a keen eye for detail with a deep understanding of how people experience space—whether at a table, in a room, or through a stay.

    A mother, homemaker, and epicurean at heart, Sarah infuses warmth, creativity, and thoughtful curation into every project. Her work draws from worldly inspiration, European design sensibilities, and a love of materials and objects with history, creating interiors that feel both lived-in and magazine-worthy.

    Courtney brings a highly curated, design-forward approach to every project. With a background in art direction, styling, and immersive brand experiences, she has worked with top-tier brands including Amber Interiors, Burrow, Crate & Barrel, and West Elm. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Domino, and House Beautiful, and she has appeared on television networks and streaming platforms including HGTV, Magnolia Network, and Netflix.

    She believes the best interiors feel organic and collected, balancing modern sophistication with timeless character. From sourcing vintage treasures to refining textures and finishes, Courtney transforms short-term rentals into spaces that feel both lived-in and extraordinary.

    Together with Sarah Davis, she co-leads Makehouse Interiors, delivering boutique, high-end interiors across the Finger Lakes, Catskills, Hudson Valley, and beyond.
